This perfect spot in Kangaroo Valley came with a full orchard and spectacular views back over Kangaroo Valley Mountain. It also came with a plain suburban home not befitting the rural location or the life the new owners could clearly visualise as part of their ‘green change’ move from Sydney to the Shoalhaven area. The clients were underway with their renovations when they realised they needed assistance to ensure their vision was not lost when it came to final decision making, and they called in Asha from South Coast Colour to assist.
Starting with kitchen fabrication and colours this project moved swiftly and working directly with the client and builder was key. From barn door design to tile and stone specification, Asha worked through the central areas of the home striking a balance between the old and the new. Treasured furniture pieces are now alongside contemporary shapes and colours. The dining ‘zone’ within the open plan best exemplifies this, where an heirloom family table is set with contemporary cantilevered green velvet dining chairs, perfectly bridging the space between the new country kitchen and the sweeping views.
