Interior Design v. Decoration Services - Spot the difference! 

This is a good spot to let you know the difference between an Interior Designer and an Interior Decorator (me).

Both require years of tertiary education and garner accreditation through industry bodies. Designers further studies mean they can advise you on things of an interior architecture nature e.g. can move walls, put in windows etc. 

Decorators such as myself can’t advise you on building works but rather I work with everything that gets bought into a space:

• Applied Finishes (flooring, tiles, paint, wallpaper, custom fabrications etc.). 
• Fixtures (lighting, tapware, hardware etc.)
• There is some crossover here as designers and decorators both work with finishes and fixtures.
• Soft Furnishings (curtains, blinds, furniture, linens, cushions etc). 
• Décor and Art 

Everyone’s small business is unique to them but that is a general summary of the difference between interior designers and interior decorators.

Focused expert guidance to bring clarity and refinement to your home.

Conducted over 60-90 minutes in your residence or at my studio, the session addresses key design decisions with precision and insight, from layout and decoration of an existing home to renovation and build fabrication and colours. 

Each consultation is highly tailored, providing clear direction and considered solutions that allow your home to evolve with confidence into a cohesive and elegant space.

Concept Based Interior Decoration - Full Service 

60-90 mins meeting followed by detailed quote

Decorating your home or renovating / building there can be hundreds of decisions to make, which is when a creative Concept is worth its weight in gold. 

In essence working with a Concept is a structured visual plan to ensure your home remains cohesive and connected at every decision-making turn.

The work is totally tailored to your requirements, so let’s have a chat about your home and what you need.

Colour Consultations

At the first meeting I take your brief on the spot and start the visualisation process, returning with your bespoke colour scheme.

Interior Colours

$400+GST

Complete palette of paint colours for small to medium size homes (with large residences to be quoted).

Includes two site visits by decorator (or FaceTime), development of complete paint colour scheme, providing A4 size paint outs, one round of edits if required, and a final set of documentation for trades.

GET COLOURFUL and book in

Exterior Colours

$500+GST

Complete palette of exterior colours including paint, Colorbond and one other element that may be requested (e.g. decking). Larger or complex sites will need to be quoted.

Includes two site visits by decorator (or FaceTime), development of complete colour scheme, providing A4 size paint outs, one round of edits if required, and a final set of documentation for trades.
