This clothing boutique is modelled on the owner’s conceptual “Closet” which contains four drawers, for four styles of clothing she carries in stock.
The primary objective was: sophistication.
The shop was an awkward narrow long shape, which did lend itself to being a closet (!) however the trick was to open it up enough to make it inviting and allow for clear browsing of merchandise.
Playing with pearl, greys and whites as well as metallic shimmering wallpaper (on the ceiling) really opened up the space whilst maintaining the conceptual closet feel.
Balancing a deceptively large amount of gentle colour helped the space play to its strengths.
The furnishings and fit out were brought in on a tight budget – with no compromise to the air of sophistication.
